So excited to announce, Yellow has been chosen and his name is TBD

This has been a super fun, full week with lots of visitors to help continue to give the puppies tons of socialization and new experiences.  They have each had exposure to a ride in the van as well as time with a leash and collar on.  They have gotten to experience water and their first bath. They love having time to run and explore in the yard and play with our other mamas.  They are now in a crate twice daily for 2 hours each time.  They have had a few naps alone in a crate and we will continue that this week.  They are eating hard food and Vernie will no longer nurse as today was her last time.  She still keeps a close eye on all that goes on with the puppies though.  We continue to play a sounds CD to get them used to many sounds that they have not been able to encounter while in our home.  We are so impressed with the sweet nature, intelligence, and fun loving puppies they have all become.  They will truly be a wonderful addition to their forever homes very soon!  Spread the word as we still have males available.

So hard to believe puppies are 6 weeks old now!  They are just the funnest bunch and are progressing so well.  This week they will get their full exam, first round of vaccines, and get micro chipped.  We are so lucky that our vet comes to us for this big day.  We will start to bring puppies for short car rides this week which is always a fun time for us.  We have lots of puppy visits scheduled this week to help us socialize the puppies.   Puppies are doing well in their crates and are up to 1 hour twice daily.  We will add more crates to their area this week so they can start the process of being in one alone for their naps.  They are all doing so well choosing to do 80% of their potties outside so we are well on our way to doing that fully outside.  We will work with them to sit when they great us and encourage each family to do the same once they come home.  They will grow quickly and it is so important to continue that process so they do not knock over friends and family that visit once they are much bigger.  We will start to introduce puppies to a leash and collar this week and let them get a good feel for what they will be going home to experience.  So many fun things happening this week!

Puppies are 5 weeks old and growing right in front of our eyes!  They are so much fun and truly an amazing bunch!  They have had great success in crates this week.  We start very small and have worked our way up to 30 min in the crate without potties.  Puppies have also learned to navigate the doggie door and are choosing to do most potties outside which is very exciting.  They love the time they get to spend with our big girls and especially love when they get human visits and we had. a lot this week which was very fun for them.  They are eating soft food well and Vernie is starting to nurse a bit less as their teeth fully come in.  This week we will continue to build up time in their crates as they show they are doing well with that.  We will start to encourage them to sit to greet us and this will be something we continue until they go home.  Puppies have had their nails trimmed again and we continue and collars loosened as they grow.  We continue to acclimate them to new sounds and they are doing very well and becoming very confident.  We are loving this crew so much and hope you enjoy their pictures below.

​So excited to announce Mr White has been chosen and is now Fritz🐾

Puppies are 4 weeks old and so much fun at this stage!  They are playing with each other and love getting visitors to play and snuggle with.  They are doing well with 2 soft meals each day and this week it will move to 3 meals daily.  Vernie still nurses but will begin to stand while they eat so she can quickly get away as their teeth are getting sharper.  We will give her lots of breaks and time away from the puppies this week to help in the weaning process.  We had some very fun visits this week and puppies got to experience many other people to help in the socialization process.  We introduce new toys each day to give them new things to explore and experience.  We continue to play a sounds CD to help them get used to many sounds they will encounter in their lifetime to get them very comfortable to many different sounds.  Puppies are using their potty area which gets me so excited to see them start this valuable skill.  We will start introducing them to the crate this week letting them go in for very short periods and gradually will lengthen the time each day.  We will start to separate puppies from the pack for 5-10 min twice this week.  The puppy picking process has begun and we just love this part and can't wait to hear their names and start calling them by them.

Puppies are 3 weeks old and have become so much fun!  They are starting to play with each other and wag their tails.  It is so fun to hear them find their voices and almost surprise themselves by it.  They can now hear and respond to noises in their environment.  We continue to do "ENS" time daily with the puppies and love the intentional snuggle time this provides.  Puppies nails have been clipped again to help keep nursing comfortable for Vernie.  This week we will start to introduce new toys to their area daily to give them new opportunities to learn through exploring.  We will also strategically, in a friendly way startle the puppies and watch their response.  We will help to introduce new sounds to acclimate them to the things in the big world they will encounter to help them not be anxious when they encounter them down the road.  We will start introducing new people to play and snuggle puppies while not overwhelming them.  We will also take individual puppies out for a few minutes at a time to get them used to being separate from their siblings.

Puppies are 1 week old and doing very well! They got to have an adventure and spend sometime outside as the weather has been so beautiful. Puppies nails have all been trimmed to help make nursing more comfortable for Vernie. They also have all needed their collars adjusted to accommodate their growth already. We continue to perform ENS time daily which helps to stimulate the Neurologic system to help improve the growth and development of their immune system, stress tolerance and cardiovascular system. This is our favorite time as we can cuddle and start bonding with puppies. We have gentle helpers assist in this process to start to give puppies new smells and experiences with others outside of our family. Hope you enjoy

Puppies are all growing and so so well! Vernie continues to be such a gentle, devoted mama. She is having a hard time keeping up with the demand of 12 which is very understandable so we are supplementing a feed before bed and one early morning to help give each puppy a few extra calories. We love this extra special time with each puppy and the binding we get to do. We have also started our intentional ENS time with each puppy daily that just adds to all the fun of the process for us. We have special friends help us so each puppy can get used to more humans then just our family.

Amazing to see the growth in just a few days. Puppies are 4 days old and doing so well. Vernie is so gentle and loves having us in with her as much as possible ❤️. We are just in awe of the beautiful colors and don’t think pictures can do them justice, but here is our best effort to show them off.

Everyone made it through the first night well! Vernie is a very devoted mama and has not wanted to leave her puppies but this morning was finally willing to go out for a few minutes. She is so gentle and attentive to them. Vernie is getting lots of extra calcium in her diet to help with the demands on her to supply enough for everyone but we can supplement if that is needed. We keep a close eye on wights of each puppy several times each day to make sure they are gaining wt to help us determine if they need extra. Vernie loves having us to visit so we spend lots of time with her and we are just amazed at the beauty of her puppies. We sure feel blessed to do what we do!

Puppies have arrived🎉
We are so excited to show off this beautiful bunch. Vernie had 12 healthy, plump puppies late last night 10 males and 2 females. All the puppies are tri-color and have a classic Bernese Mountain Dog coloring like mama Vernie. We are so very excited to begin the adventure with each family. The first few days we keep it very quiet, warm, and allow for Vernie to bond and nurture each one. Starting in day 3 we will intentionally provide early Neurologic stimulation (“ENS”)time for each puppy. This is a process that introduces mild stresses in a controlled way to stimulate the Neurologic system which helps improve the growth and development of the puppies immune system, cardiovascular system, and stress tolerance. This is one of our favorite parts of the process and look forward to fun adventure ahead!

Vernie is doing so well and enjoying all the belly rubs. It is so fun for us to feel puppy movement and she eats that right up. Her puppy area is all ready and she already wants to spend lots of time in there which is all part of the nesting process. We are so very excited as we get closer to welcoming pupppies very soon🐾

Just wanted to get some excitement around the look of the puppies coming so, I have included some of Beau and Vernie’s last crew in here to give you an idea of the cuteness to come. Vernie is doing very well and growing by the day. She is soaking up all the extra love, belly rubs, and increase in food that she can. She has just a little over 2 weeks to go. We are getting the puppy area all set up to welcome her little ones and couldn’t be more excited for the adventure ahead!

So excited to announce Vernie had her ultrasound today and they counted 7 puppies. We are so excited to begin the fun of the blog and help to keep each family a part of the process until puppies are ready to be welcomed into heir new homes.
