Taking Your Puppy Home

Puppy pick up day is very exciting, but can also be challenging if you are not prepared. Here are some ideas of how to transition your puppy to help ease the process:
~Crate size Large for our medium Goldendoodles & XL for our Bernedoodles. They fold flat for easier transport and usually have a divider to keep the area smaller while your puppy is small. We prefer the metal crates over the plastic as they feel more open and allow for better storage and transport.
~Leash and Collar size small (8-14") and medium (14-20") as they grow very fast. ~Water & Food Bowls raised option works well that have rubber bottoms so they do not get tipped over as easily. ~Baby Gates allow for space to block off to keep puppy contained while you may not be able to keep an eye on them. This allows for better potty training and chewing safety as puppy grows. ~Elevated Dog Bed allows puppy to have a space off the ground to sleep. This bed help them dry if they are wet from outside or after a bath as it is made of breathable. ~Dog Brush- We use the Wahl pet slicker. ~Veterinarian appointment for soon after puppy comes home. Inform the veterinarian when their first vaccines where given and what their birth date is. If this appointment is not made in a timely manner some veterinarians will require the first vaccines to be repeated. ~Dog Food: We feed Life's Abundance Lamb and brown rice formula to all our puppies. We recommend ordering at least a 20 lb bag or if you prefer ordering less often the 40 lb bag. Autoship is a great option so you never run out. The 20 lb bag will last 3-4 weeks so 3 week auto ship is best and the 40 lb bag lasts 7-8 weeks so 7 week auto ship is best. If you do not choose auto ship, make sure to always order at least 1 week before you run out to allow for shipping. ~Shampoo: We use Life's Abundance shampoo as it is natural and healthy for your puppy. It leaves your puppy smelling amazing without all the harsh effects of other shampoos.
