We are down to 4 puppies so we combined Stella’s puppies with Vernie’s remaining 3 and they are having so much fun together!. We enjoyed meeting 2 families for pick up this past Friday and seeing how loved each one already is. Puppies are loving the snow we are getting, but we are not as excited after the warm weather we had. We continue to have puppies in their own crate daily and they are doing so well. They seem to prefer not having a sibling with them now. We will continue to bring them on car rides this week, practice stairs and work on sitting when they greet us. So excited to meet more families soon!

Happy Easter!
Hope you all had a wonderful day with family and are getting ready for those of you that pick up this Friday. Our family loved being able to snuggle puppies today as did the puppies. This will be another busy week. We will continue to have puppies go in their crates daily, work on sit when they greet us, lots of play time with our big girls, practice riding in the car, work on resource guarding and lots more. We are loving our time with each one but are excited to have them meet their forever families soon.

Puppies are growing like weeds as you will see below! They are so fun at this stage and love the one on one time they get. This week we will continue to have more visitors come and help us continue the socialization process. We continue to work on sound therapy and startle response as well as resource guarding. Puppies are doing very well with their time in crates and have worked their way to being in them twice daily for 1-2 hours each time. They are choose to do all poops and about 95% of pees outside which is a huge success in my book. They have transitioned to hard food and no longer nurse from Stella. We love them so much and look forward to a fun week ahead.

Puppies are almost 6 weeks old and so very fun and interactive! Puppies are doing well in their crates 1-2 times daily for 1 1/2 hours each time. They are doing well with the doggie door and most potties are outside. No one has pooped inside in the past 5 days which is a huge success. They are eating 3 soft meals daily and nursing 2 times from Stella. This week we will gradually have them transition to hard food and wean them from nursing completely by the end of the week. We will continue to work on resource guarding by petting them, playing with their food while they eat, and having our hands in their dishes as they eat to get them very comfortable with humans near their food. We will introduce them to new spaces and surfaces and also have more visits from others. We will begin working to have them sit when they greet us. So many fun things happening this week.

Puppies are now 4 1/2 weeks old and changes moment by moment. They have started to wag their tails which is our favorite thing to see them do as it reminds us so much of the Bernese Mountain Dog in them. They are enjoying eating 3 meals now daily of soft dog food and continue to nurse from Stella. They are doing so well with their sound therapy as well as the work we continue to do on startle response and lots of reassurance. We have introduced the puppies to the great outdoors and they are being let out 4-5 times daily to potty while still using their potty pads while inside. We have had short times with doors shut in their crates with a sibling buddy and that has gone well. We will slowly lengthen each time this week. The weather looks promising this week to be able to continue to increase their time outside as well as this will become their most favorite thing to do very soon. We love each one so very much and hope you enjoy the fun below.

Puppies are enjoying their new space and now have fresh water, potty area, and a crate in their area. They are starting to really recognize us and want to come snuggle us when we are with them. They are enjoying having new toys in their area that we change daily to give them new things to chew and investigate. We continue to do ENS time daily also. Puppies will start food at the end of this week as teeth are starting to pop through. We are having so much fun with this bunch of puppies and hope you enjoy the picture updates below!

Puppies will be 3 weeks Thursday and they are growing and becoming more active by the day. Collars have been adjusted and nails clipped again to keep Stella comfortable. We continue to do ENS time daily and have enjoyed bringing puppies to new areas for snuggles to help them adjust to different settings. Puppies were transitioned from their pool to a bigger area and given a potty area to use until they are older and are able to go outside to potty. This begins the process and we work very hard to keep their area very clean and place them on the potty pads each time we greet them to encourage them to start to use that area. Because they are starting to hear, we have started to work on startle response with lots of reassurance. We also play a sounds CD to help to introduce the puppies to many sounds such as: fireworks, car noises, alarms. baby noises, dogs and so much more. We are so in love with these puppies and hope you enjoy seeing a bit of their lives with us below.

We are so excited to announce, Lime has been chosen and will now be Chloe.
Puppies are doing so well and growing quickly with this smaller litter. They have just started to open their eyes and still look very strange so don't let the pictures scare you, the process is slow and all a part of normal development. They appear blueish gray but will become a deep brown color in a few weeks. We continue to perform ENS time daily with each puppy as well as special snuggle time while we have movie night or while our kiddos are studying. This is such a fun age and soon puppies will start to hear us and they will become more interactive with each other. Puppies will be dewormed in a few days for the first time and we will continue to do that every 2 weeks until they go home and then will be able to be on monthly preventative. Stella is doing great and enjoying all the fun that puppies bring. Hope you enjoy all the fun below!

We are so very excited to post our first individual shots of Stella's puppies as well as fun shots from the past few days. Puppies are 5 days old but are already growing and changing! We continue to perform Early Neurologic Stimulation (ENS) daily with different gentle hands to keep introducing them to new gentle handlers. ENS is a process that introduces mild stresses to puppies in a controlled way. These stresses help stimulate the neurological system which improves the growth and development of each puppies immune & cardiovascular system as well as helps to develop stress tolerance. Eye will not open until around day 11 and even then they are closed most of the day. They do not hear us yet and will begin to closer to week 3 but we provide lots of new smells and textures to stimulate them in their development. Collars will be adjusted and nails trimmed tomorrow to accommodate their speedy growth and keep Stella comfortable.

Stella is doing so well and enjoying all extra attention that comes with puppies. She is so devoted to her pups and that devotion definitely shines through in their personalities. They had a visit from our vet yesterday who blesses us by doing home visits for our puppies. They all had their dew claws removed and did very well! We are enjoying all the hands on ENS time we get to spend with each puppy and love that something so special to us enriches these little ones for years to come. We will have formal introductions of each puppy this Tuesday!
We are in love with this sweet litter. Stella finished with her final puppy delivery around 9:30pm and everyone is doing so well and has gained weight overnight! We officially have 4 females (pink, purple, lime, & red) & 2 males (green & blue). Stella is such a caring and gentle mama as usual and we look forward to see how they develop in the days and weeks to come. So excited for the adventure ahead.
Puppies have made their arrival! So far we have 5 and we are expecting 6 but Stella is taking her sweet time because all good things come to those that wait. So far we have 3 females and 2 males. We will update with more pictures in the morning. Mama and puppies are all doing well so far. So excited for the fun ahead!
Stella is our lucky lady that got to join us on our adventure up the North Shore this past week. She got to go for lots of hikes near Lake Superior and enjoyed lots of snuggles by the fire. She is doing very well and we are looking forward to welcoming her puppies at the end of the week! Our next post for her will be after puppies have arrived. Looking forward to the fun ahead.
Stella had her ultrasound today and they counted 6! She is doing very well and enjoying lots of snuggles. We are so very excited and are counting down the days until puppies arrive. Stella is on an adventure today to deliver puppies and do some adventuring up the North Shore.
Stella growing and we can feel puppies, but she is not as big as Vernie so we are excited to see how many puppies she is carrying as it may be a smaller litter. She is 1 week behind Vernie so that is playing into her looking smaller, but we definitely are feeling puppies and seeing her slow down these days as her due date gets closer. She and Vernie both got their bellies cut to help delivery and puppies to be able to find nourishment and keep things cleaner. She is enjoying keeping our final puppies company and always very patient with them. Belly rubs are her favorite activity at the moment. Looking so forward to the fun ahead.
Stella is doing very well and is loving getting to socialize our current litter of remaining puppies. They go home soon but for now she enjoys getting to be the lucky one to spend time with them acclimating them to a larger dog other than their mama. She is enjoying all the extra snuggle and belly rubs that come with being pregnant. She still loves going for walks and hikes in the woods but does sleep more these days. Her belly is not growing as fast as Vernie's so we are looking forward to her Xray in the few weeks to show how many puppies she will have as it may be a smaller litter.
We are so excited to announce that Stella was confirmed to be pregnant today with an ultrasound at our veterinarian. She is doing very well and loving all the extra snuggles. We are so excited to start this journey with you as she grows and puppies are born. Hope you enjoy some recent pictures as well as some from a family camping trip Stella got to come with on.
