Lots of action shots this week as pictures become more difficult to take with the quickness of the puppies😉. We truly have enjoyed this litter and feel they are such a great bunch. They have all done so well with their crate time, learning to sit on command, potting outside during the day and on pads at night and also not in the crates when napping🤗. We are looking so forward to see you in just a few days as I’m sure you are also excited to welcome home you puppy 🐶

Stella is doing very well and enjoying some extra freedom now that puppies are fully weaned from her. They are completely on hard food now and have made the transition well. They are all doing great with nap time in their crates. We have built up to 1.5 hrs twice daily. They are also doing all their potties outside and have learned to navigate the.doggie door very well. Before meals we work to have them all sit to receive a few pieces of food as they are highly food motivated which is great for training. We also have them sit to greet us. They are a super smart bunch and we are enjoying them so very much! The vet will come today to give vaccines, place microchips on those that requested, and give a full exam.
We are so lucky to have.a vet that comes to us when we have puppies!

Puppies are at my most favorite stage currently! They are very responsive to us, wagging their tails, playing with each other, and starting to come when called yet their teeth are not fully in making for the funnest experience for us😉. Puppy picking will begin very soon and I will be sure to update the blog with each choice and then reach out to the next family to provide more footage. I’m sure you are all anxious to pick your puppy but it won’t be long now. Puppies are loving time with our other mamas as well exploring new areas. We have started bringing puppies outside to go potty 4 times daily and they are doing very well with that. They have adjusted well to 2 feedings daily and today we will start them on having 3 meals of softened puppy food. Stella is loving getting to nurse a bit less and clean up all the yummy soft food they leave behind. We work daily on startle response with puppies as well as introducing them to new toys. What a fun bunch of puppies this is that we are enjoying every minute of our time with them!

Puppies have become more interactive with us and each other making our time with them so much fun! They have enjoyed us having a few extra visitors to help handle them and give them new experiences. We continue to perform our ENS with each puppy daily and take them out into new areas to explore. They have had time to explore their new, larger space but will make the full transition today. They are at the perfect age for this to happen as they are starting to move away from the group to go potty so introducing them to the potty area is critical at this age. This area will also give Stella the ability to move away from puppies as they start to get teeth to begin the slow weaning process. So many fun things happening and we are enjoying every minute!

Happy Labor Day!
Puppies are 2 weeks old and starting the process of exploration. Their eyes have opened and wobbly steps are being taken. Noses are turning black and ears will open in the next weeks. We still continue to do daily ENS time with each puppy. We also take puppies to new spaces individually at times and as a group at other times to allow them to experience new things. This week we will have other gentle visitors to give the puppies new experiences with more touch. Nails continue to be trimmed every couple of days to keep Stella comfortable and prevent any mastitis as their nails grow very fast while they are nursing. Toward the end of this week, puppies will transition to their outside space to give them a much larger area to explore and grow as well as start the potty training process. Puppies will not be at a developmental stage to be fully potty trained until they are several months older, but we get them on the best path to learning to go on a potty area at first and outside in the next few weeks. So many fun things ahead!

Stella is doing so well mothering her babies and is in such great shape just one week after having puppies. Everyone is growing very quickly…almost seems like they change before our eyes. Collars have needed to be adjusted to accommodate the rapid growth. Nails have been trimmed to help keep stella comfortable. ENS time remains our favorite part of the day. Each puppy is doing so well settling in with all the touch they are provided by our family. Puppies are on a deworming schedule that begins this week. We have started to take puppies out of their area for short periods of time for extra snuggles and help them get accustomed to time away from their siblings. So many fun things going on in their development! We took pictures of each puppy to help you get to know them better. We do our best to show their colors. Red boy actually fell asleep on his back for his photo shoot😂

Stella and all her puppies are doing very well! Everyone is eating and growing very quickly. This morning the vet visited to check on everyone and remove their rear dew claws. Everyone did very well. We do choose to keep their front dew claws with all our litters as they are a useful part of their foot. However, the rear ones are not useful to them and are very floppy and can get snagged on things causing potential injury down the road, which is why we have them removed. We have just started the fun Early Neurologic Stimulations (ENS) which is a process that introduces mild stresses to each puppy in a controlled way. These stresses help stimulate the neurologic system which improvs the growth and development of the puppies immune system, cardiovascular system, and stress tolerance. We will continue this process until puppies are about 4 weeks old. We will post our first video Friday.
Hope you are enjoying the journey so far.

Stella is doing well and the vet counted 8 puppies❤️. We are so excited for next week!!
Stella got to join us on one last camping trip before puppies arrive next week. She loves nothing more than getting to be right along side and a part of all we do while camping. She also loves getting to snuggle in the air conditioned camper next to the boys in their bunks. Lots of naps and short walks keep her busy with loads of belly rubs to feel for puppy movements. Stella is scheduled for an Xray late Thursday evening so I plan to update the blog by the weekend with the puppy count 🐶
We are getting all prepped for puppies!
Stella had her belly cut short to help when puppies arrive so they can find her milk more easily and we can inspect her for mastitis. The outside puppy area floor got a fresh coat of paint so the puppies have a fresh and clean area to transition to when they are a bit bigger. Stella is still able to run and play and enjoy our property. Getting cooled off in the creek is a favorite spot of hers this week with the warmer temperatures. We are feeling puppy movements which we absolutely love when we give her bully rubs

Stella is soaking up all the love she can get! She is just 2 1/2 weeks away from her due date and pregnancy defiantly brings out her desire for lots of touch from anyone who will give it. She is still enjoying being active our property and the space she has to run and explore but balances it with lots of naps. Since the field was cut, she is also enjoying catching all the grasshoppers and seems to make a game of it. Our family room is all set up and prepped for puppies which always gets us excited for the fun ti come. This morning she enjoyed snuggles on our deck while we read. She is such a sweet girl that we are so excited to see her be a Mama again very soon.
Welcome to the journey!
Mama Stella is doing very well and is enjoying summer with kiddos home more so very much. Stella has gotten to go camping twice this summer so far and loves all the attention she gets while on these trips. She loves cooling off in our creek and going for walks with buddy Aggie. Belly rubs remain Stellas favorite activity and she never turns down anyone who will give her one. We are so very excited to for puppies and getting to start this adventure with you!
