So happy to have Aggie doing so well. She was out for her hike today and feeling very energetic. She enjoyed some cool water from our creek and time with her sisters. All puppies are nursing well and had a vet check yesterday as well as rear dew claws removed. Everyone is healthy and doing very well. Today they are 3 days old so we started the early neurological stimulation. We practice The Puppy Culture Method and encourage all our families to continue this when their puppy comes home to help give each puppy the best start to life. Nails were also trimmed today to help keep Aggie from getting scratched and start the puppies getting used to being handled more.
First night went very well! All 12 are eating well and Aggie is proving to be such a wonderful mother as we figured she would. So far the puppies all appear bi colored, but over the next few days the tri color may shine through on some of them. They all have adorable blazes like their mother and white paws and chest. They are just beautiful!
Aggie had one more surprise, # 12! Now we are even 6 boys and 6 girls!! All are doing well and so beautiful.
In true Aggie fashion, she labored silently early this morning. We woke up to 11 beautiful multi colored babies. All are doing very well and we haven’t even had a chance to check gender yet. She is a calm and attentive mother and doing very well herself. More pictures to come! Happy Easter🎉
Aggies belly has dropped and she is showing more signs of puppies combing soon. Only 3 days left until her due date. She is still doing very well and we can hardly wait to meet her little ones!
Aggie has only 9 days left until her due date. She is doing very well and loving all the extra attention she is getting. She has enjoyed a project of building a bridge with our boys, loads of snuggles from anyone who will give them, more snow (not something we have been excited about), and her growing belly that moves a lot these days!
Day 48...15 to go until Aggies due date. She is doing very well, but is definitely getting tired with such a full belly. Aggie is enjoying our back yard creek below as well as our boys spending more time outside with the better weather. Basketball is the dogs entertainment 😂. Aggie loves her sisters and daily hikes in our woods just at a slower pace.
Today is day 43....20 days until Aggies due date. She is doing very well and growing a lot. Yesterday my son was the first to feel puppy movement that we all have now felt!
Aggie is growing and doing well! She is still enjoying the snow we have, morning hikes, and time with her sisters! She does rest more these days and has a growing appetite.
Aggies ultrasound showed 9 puppies! Puppies are very tightly packed so this count is only an estimate and more just to confirm pregnancy and monitor to see that all is well and mom is healthy. Aggie is doing great! She is showing more signs of tiredness in the last week. Here are some ultrasound puppy pictures, before school love, and Aggies favorite napping spot these days.
